Getting started
Get started with CamBrain
Create a project and follow the basic workflow for checking camera media.
This is sample content. The product version and actual workflow will be reviewed before publication.
Before you start
CamBrain Solo connects preparation, copying and verification, review, records, and handoff of camera media on a Mac. Start by trying the workflow below with test media.
This is a draft manual for the local page prototype. For exact installation requirements and button names, follow the guidance for the app version you are using.
- Test files prepared separately from camera originals
- Drive names that distinguish sources from destinations
- Power and free space for the Mac and attached devices
Create a project
Enter the name, shoot date, and other required information on the project creation screen. Check whether you will create a folder structure or link existing files to the project.
Set up the cameras and storage, then inspect the created project. When editing an existing project, check the current app screen and guidance for which fields can be changed.
Choose your next task
To inspect files you have already copied, register media references in the project. To create new copies from a card and verify them, use Clone Sync.
- Media Manager: check connected drives and their roles
- Clone Sync: copy a source to destinations and verify using the selected mode
- Review: inspect media and record notes and markers
- Offlog: record a drive’s file and folder list and find it later
Check the result of a small job first
Complete one job with test files, then check the output location, exceptions, and report. The web support page cannot automatically read your local drives or the app’s actual job status. Include the status you saw in the app when reporting a problem.
